Every summer at the end of the school year Swim Nova Scotia’s (SNS's) summer swimming program begins. This program is specifically designed for athletes who would like to participate in the sport of competitive swimming but who are unable (perhaps because of the lack of a year-round, indoor facility), or unwilling (because of other activity or sport commitments over the winter) to participate in the SNS year round program.

Last year, there were eighteen summer clubs and 870 swimmers registered with SNS. Swim meets are held over every weekend of the summer culminating in the Summer Provincial Championships.

2013 Summer Committee Meeting is scheduled to take place at Dalhousie University, in Halifax on Sunday June 2nd, 11:30am.
