Feschuk Dominates the Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships

Olivia Feschuk continues to dominate the Pan Am pool in Winnipeg during the Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships. Olivia placed first in the 400m Individual Medley with a time of 4:58.51.

Teammates Kylie Weber and Joe Ur also earned themselves a spot in the final heats tonight. Kylie placed 6th in the 400m Individual Medley and Joe Ur place 6th in the 100m Freestyle and 8th in the 50m Backstroke.

Competition is also being held in the 12 and under and 16-18 age groups for the girls and the 13 and under, 14, 15, 16, and 17-18 age group for the boys. More than 1,400 swimmers from across Canada are at the meet.

“This is the highlight age group swim meet of the summer,” said Ken McKinnon, Swimming Canada’s National Junior Coach. “When we are developing our talent identification list their times will definitely be coming from this competition.”

Competition runs until Sunday at the Pan Am Pool.
