Swim Nova Scotia- Provincial Coach Announced

Swim Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that Lance Cansdale, Head Coach for the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club has been named as the Provincial Coach. Lance will continue his role as Head Coach with the Trojans as he takes on the Provincial Coach duties with Swim Nova Scotia.

We would like to thank the Trojans for this unique partnership, without their support this initiative would not be possible.

Effective immediately Coach Cansdale will work with our top level athletes and club coaches across the Province to help coordinate training and competitive opportunities.

An All-American as a swimmer, Lance has over twenty years experience as a competitive swimming professional; he is the former Executive Director for Swim B.C. and has been a Head Coach with the following universities / clubs: California State University - Bakersfield, Hyack Swim Club (New Westminister), Vernon Kokanee Swim Club and Simon Fraser University. He has also worked with national teams including the 1999 World Cup Tour, 2001, 2003 and 2005 World Championships and the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Lance is also one of the Assistant Coaches with the 2009 Canada Summer Games Swim Team in PEI this August.

We look forward to our enhanced relationship with the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club, the Canadian Sport Center Atlantic and Lance Cansdale.
