Another Medal for Halifax Swimmer at Canadian Age Group Championships

13-year-old Lucas Salmon of the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club earned himself his second medal tonight in Calgary during the third day of competition at the 2012 Canadian Age Group Championships. Salmon placed third tonight in the 13 year old boys 50m Freestyle with a time of 26.18, adding another medal to his collection at the competition. Last night, he earned a gold in the 100m Freestyle.

This week in Calgary, the competition is split into various age categories, with just over 1,500 swimmers from across Canada competing in the five-day event. Nova Scotia has a total of 55 swimmers represented this week.

Pool action will be held from July 25-29 with daily competition starting at 9 a.m. for preliminaries and 5:20 p.m. for finals. The open water events start at 9 am July 30th.
