Today Halifax Swimmer David Sharpe confirmed his ticket to London, making history as Nova Scotia’s first male swimmer to compete at the Games. Join him for a press conference at Dalplex Pool, 6260 South Street in Halifax on Tuesday July 3rd, 2012 at 10:30am local time.
He will be leaving Halifax for final preparations leading into London with the Canadian Olympic Swim Team on Wednesday July 4th, 2012.
The 21-year-old Halifax swimmer won the men’s 200m Butterfly at the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Swimming Trials in Montreal last April, his ticket was officially confirmed today by Swimming Canada and FINA, the international governing body for competitive swimming.
