Coaching Positions Available

The Cole Harbour Hurricanes is a summer competitive swim team designed to develop and maintain an appreciation of the long-term benefits of life-long fitness skills for all ages and levels of children, not just for the summer but for life!
We are looking for part- and full-time coaches for the Summer 2012 season dedicated to supporting our team philosophy, and with the ability to incorporate both land training and nutrition components into a daily swim practice schedule.

Term:
May 28 to June 29, 2012: Part-Time Hours
July 2 to August 24, 2012: Part- and Full-Time Hours

Qualifications:
� Level One NCCP Certification
� Level Two NCCP Certification an asset
� Knowledge of various land-training components
� Knowledge of various nutrition components an asset
� Knowledge of Hi-Tech Team Manager Program an asset

Responsibilities:
� To work with a group of approximately 80 children aged 5 -18
� To work co-operatively with other coaches in initiating, developing, teaching and
supervising a competitive summer swim team program designed to develop,
strengthen and enhance swimming and fitness skills in children
� To provide lesson plans for practice sessions, which will include land-training and
nutrition components, while teaching the fundamentals of summer competitive
swimming
� To participate in land training component of program.
� To mentor athletes and families in healthy active living through education and example
� To prepare athlete reports, newsletter articles and various team-building and social
opportunities
