17 year old Thomas Swinkles of the Sackville Waves and teammate Danial Murphy had a great meet at the PARA CAN AM meet taking place December 8-10th in La Mirada, California.

Swinkles and Murphy were among 176 swimmers from 11 countries competing at the three-day event that took place at La Mirada’s Regional Splash Center, with the largest delegations coming from USA and Canada.

Results from day one:
Thomas Swinkels 6th 100 Free 1:05.91 (Personal Best), 3rd 100 Breast 1:20.70 (Personal Best)
Danial Murphy 1st 50 Fly 59.11, 1st 100 Free 1:31.61 (Personal Best), Canadian Record, and the MQS for Paralympics.

Results from day two:
Thomas Swinkels placed 3rd 50 Breast 37.01, 5th 50 Free 29.27
Danial placed 1st in 100 Back (Personal Best) 2:05.61 and 3rd 50 free 45.21 (Personal Best) and a new Canadian Record.

Results from day three:
Thomas Swinkels placed 2nd 200 Breast 2:55.28, Danial Murphy 1st 200 Free 3:17.26 and 2nd 50 Back 1:02.51.
